Good call on Drone hysteria. I had the same discussion with family members back in late Dec about what it was. My take was "it's BS, pay no attention, a silly distraction". Then, I proceeded to make one of my own to fly around my yard and look like a private UFO. Fun electronics project, but not worth a national panic either.
Your comments also remind me that entire Navy ships were taken out of duty because the crew had COVID-19. Big national security issue. And the idea of mandating the vaccine, one it was finally available, was controversial. That's where the rot started, or at least gained momentum.

Yeah, that did -- in hindsight -- really feed into much of the anger on the Right.
